Admin Assistant, Biotech (Outlook Scheduling Needed) – To $40s/Contract to Start
Our client, a RTP area biotech conducting breakthrough research in the field of gene therapy, is actively recruiting for a highly capable and versatile Administrative Assistant, with extensive experience in Outlook Scheduling, to join its top-notch team.

We seek an experienced administrative professional whose administrative skills (detailed further below) are complemented by the desire to contribute to their patient-focused mission.
Role will focus on high-volume meeting scheduling for multiple parties located in the US and abroad. Outlook will be used extensively in this position, and advanced skills will be essential. Further, the environment is highly dynamic, and priorities are often shifting. We seek a disciplined, adaptable and focused candidate who will thrive in this setting despite disruption and pace.
In addition to meeting scheduling, responsibilities will include:
- General Support tasks – e.g., welcoming guests, assisting with questions and directions.
- Liaising between executives and internal/external clients.
- Assisting with travel arrangements.
- Keeping conference rooms stocked with supplies.
- Providing administrative support to R&D teams.
This Administrative Assistant will interact with a very broad constituency including high level executives, junior level staff, clients, contractors, visitors, etc. He/she will be the face and/or voice of the company and must always convey a professional and congenial manner.
Other requirements include:
- 2-3 years’ professional admin experience
- Advanced MS Outlook skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Ideal candidate will offer extensive meeting scheduling experience, but client will consider candidate with proven admin background and Outlook abilities.
