Director, Business Development (East Coast / West Coast), Pharmaceutical Solutions and Services
Our client, an RTP, NC area firm that offers real world clinical data solutions to improve clinical, medical, and commercial outcomes, is actively recruiting for 2 highly skilled and versatile Business Development Directors to grow the business on the East and West Coasts. One position will be based on the Eastern half of the US, the other on the Western half.
To date, this company has achieved significant success due to its excellent reputation, retention and referral base. At this critical stage in its development, the Company seeks to identify 2 high quality business development professionals to expand and enhance its market penetration on the East and West Coast.
Primary responsibilities will include seeking out and generating new customers and leads, calling on potential and existing accounts and developing new accounts while expanding existing business. The select individuals will be tasked with driving the business development process throughout the sales cycle and maintaining account relationships at the executive level.
Key Duties will include
- Detailed account planning and weekly forecasting sessions to meet or exceed sales targets
- Prospecting and selling solutions to assigned Pharmaceutical Industry clients or targets
- Creating compelling and goal-driven solutions for clients and prospects while ensuring tactical and strategic Company goals are met
- Developing account strategies and preparing client proposals and presentations
- Managing complex sales cycles
- Managing sales forecasting, prospecting activities and pipeline management
- Acting as a Company representative to clients and prospects
The Company is an innovator in its approach to healthcare research, and is growing rapidly. It conducts disease-focused observational research studies using real world data gathered from clinical sites.
Targeted candidate will offer a related degree (Bachelor’s Degree +) and 5+ years of experience managing business development and selling solutions (products and/or services) to the pharmaceutical / life science industry. Must have experience selling services to the Pharmaceutical industry.
