Non-Profit/Community Outreach – Blood Donor Recruitment - $13/hour (Temp-To-Hire)
Our client is a non-profit center that partners and supports healthcare providers by hosting blood drives across the Triangle area. We’re looking for an energetic and outgoing professional to join their team as a Donor Recruiter. The Donor Recruiter position provides a valuable contribution to local blood drives by engaging and encouraging potential donors to participate. The selected candidate will share this enthusiasm in their effort to influence others to donate blood for this very important cause.

As a Donor Recruiter, you will attend regular blood drives throughout the Triangle - events that can occur anytime between 8:00am-8:00pm, 7 days a week (ability to work weekends necessary). We seek someone who is flexible to work throughout the community during this varied schedule. While the event locations and times will fluctuate, this position will ultimately consist of a work week of ~40 hours.
During the events, the Donor Recruiter will be responsible for managing all on-site blood drive activity including reporting blood drive progress, addressing any donor concerns, and handling sponsor issues or complaints. (The Donor Recruiter does not handle any phlebotomy related tasks or answer any detailed medical questions.)
In addition to blood drive support, you will:
- Recruit, educate and motivate donors while working on-site
- Assist the Donor Resources Department
- Provide administrative support at the local Raleigh office as needed
- Recruit donors prior to a blood drive
- Establish long-term relationships with blood donors and sponsors
The ideal candidate will offer experience in a customer facing role, as well as in a goal-driven environment. While this position is not quota/sales based, the ability to confidently engage the public and find donors is critical. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering a pay rate of $13/hour. A criminal background check and drug test will be required.
