Accounting Manager (Consumer Services) – Top $$ (Raleigh)
Our client, a highly successful and growing consumer services company with locations throughout the Raleigh area, is actively recruiting for a very sharp and capable Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day Accounting and Finance operations.

Key Things to Note:
- This company operates 4 locations, employs ~ 800 people (including field technicians) and does ~ $50m in revenues. Transaction volume is high, and we seek a candidate with experience in similar operation.
- This is a broad-based role handling all aspects of Accounting as well as FP&A functions (budgeting, forecasting, analyses) and Operations support (risk management, business licenses, etc.). Seek candidate who prefers a varied role. Advanced Excel and experience developing dashboards will be important.
- This Accounting Manager will supervise a small staff (~ 3) who handle AP, AR, etc. but will personally handle Financial Reporting, GL Analysis, Intercompany Transactions, etc. Seek candidate who enjoys a hands-on role.
- This is a highly interactive position that will involve regular interface with department managers to help them understand the financial elements of their operations. Seek a strong communicator.
- The company uses Sage Intacct and ServiceTitan. Familiarity with similar systems is preferred.
- This position is on-site in Raleigh.
Selected Duties:
- Direct and oversee team members, who are responsible for AP, AR, and Payroll
- Provide direction for escalated concerns (i.e. account coding, job review, payment requests, etc.)
- Prepare monthly financial statements. Review and ensure accuracy of GL
- Publish monthly reporting package for executive leadership and service managers leveraging existing dashboards within the Company's ERP, Sage Intacct
- Provide insight on actual vs. budget variances in both Company and individual departmental results
- Develop business relationships with operational leaders and service management; Be the point person for operational questions with regards to how they intersect with accounting principles and workflows
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and/or improved efficiency in strategic selection of vendor partners
- Direct and manage required regulatory filings (e.g. corporate registrations, business licenses, property taxes, etc.)
- In conjunction with HR, oversee the Company's annual insurance audits as well as the annual 401Ik) audit
- Identify areas for operational and financial management improvements. Develop and implement action plans
Targeted candidate will offer BA/BS in Accounting (or similar) and 7+ years of increasingly responsible accounting experience including 3+ years in leadership role. CPA license and/or public accounting bkgd, a plus.
Other priorities include.
- Substantial experience leading Accounting and Finance for a multi-site, $40-70m service business. Some experience with Owner-Managed business preferred.
