This firm works with the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world.  It leads Operational Excellence engagements including capital improvements, lean manufacturing, operational efficiencies, etc.  Employees are assigned to engagements, embedded in the client companies, and deliver process improvement analyses and action plans.

This is an outstanding opportunity.  Extensive training will be provided, and compensation will be generous.  We seek a self-directed, industrious quick study.  Growth potential is enormous.

Things to Note:

  • This position will involve working with an RTP area client that is building out a $2 billion pharma manufacturing facility.
    • As part of that effort, the company is developing its Quality Management System, which is essential to running a clean and compliant manufacturing operation.
    • This Assistant Project Manager (APM) will be critically involved in keeping all QMS planning activities on-track.
  • The Quality Management System includes thousands of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that help ensure high quality outcomes for every aspect of production.
    • The SOPs summarize how each step in the production process must be executed and documented.
    • Ensuring every SOP is meticulously developed, documented, and disseminated is essential, and this APM will be instrumental in the effort.
  • This APM will work with leadership to build an action plan for the development of the catalogue of SOPs
    • The action plan will include timetables, resources, deliverables, assigned parties, etc.
    • The APM will be the point-person for keeping the entire initiative on-track. This will involve direction to and communication with all stakeholders, monitoring all progress, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining timely, accurate and visible records of progress.
    • It is a critical role that requires exceptional organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and a can-do, mission-driven, proactive work style. We seek a go-getter.
  • This is a highly collaborative role.  As the driver of this Quality effort, this APM will regularly interface with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the initiative are properly understood and executed.  We seek a superb communicator.
  • Pharmaceutical industry production processes are regulated by the FDA and operate under industry standard GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices). Familiarity with GMP would be a plus.
  • The company uses Excel to track and report on many aspects of activity.  Advanced Excel skills will be important.
  • This position is located in Holly Springs, NC.  While some remote work is available, we seek candidates who are interested in being on-site where the action is.
