Our client, a Durham based company, has a great opportunity available for a very bright, skilled, capable Client Service Specialist.  We are seeking a self-starter with a natural inclination toward customer service and an ability to multitask with ease.  Our client is a small startup company with a small, close-knit office environment. As a result, a flexible, friendly, resourceful, and proactive demeanor will present the ideal fit.   

Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters. 
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client & carrier relationships. 
  • Negotiate renewals and new business proposals. 
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed by working with the client, insurance carriers, and facilities/providers as needed. 
  • Collect all information needed to complete quote requests. 
  • Create and/or update employee communications. 
  • Work with client and carrier for scheduling of employee meetings. 
  • Maintain all required documentation needed for compliance for each employer. 

Qualifications: 

  • Strong time management skills. 
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 3 or more years Employee Benefits Account Management experience --OR-- High School diploma/GED with 6 or more years related experience. 
  • Must be open to eventually obtaining NC Life & Health License. 

This position will require candidates to work on-site. There is a possibility of transitioning to hybrid schedule once training is complete. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity, paying up to $21/hr. Interested candidates should send MS Word resume for review.
