Our client, a highly successful, high profile law firm, is actively recruiting for a very sharp and knowledgeable Paralegal to join its Commercial Real Estate practice group.


Firm concentrates in complex litigation and commercial real estate and has been recognized with prestigious honors by both the legal and business industries.   • Key things to note:
  • Role will involve the entire commercial real estate process. Seek candidate with strong working knowledge of commercial real estate transactions including title work and settlement statements.
  • This is a highly interactive role.  This paralegal will be in regular contact with clients, lenders, vendors, etc.  Right candidate will be a strong communicator who brings a strong service orientation.
  • Firm operates in a paperless environment. Seek candidate with excellent technology skills including experience with SoftPro, MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.
  • This is a hybrid position, splitting time between remote work and days on site at the firm’s Raleigh offices. COVID vaccinations are required.


Selected duties will include:

  • Handle extensive title work including:
    • Perform title searches
    • Review and analyze title search reports
    • Prepare title opinions
    • Review and negotiate title insurance commitments, including applicable endorsement coverage, with title companies and other parties
  • Organize and coordinate closings including
    • Prepare and maintain closing checklists, settlement statements and closing binders
    • Track documents
    • Keep transaction workflow progressing efficiently
  • Assist attorneys with drafting documentation for various real estate, finance and corporate transactions.
  • Coordinate due diligence for commercial real estate transactions, including multi-state loans and acquisitions.
  • Assist proactively calendaring and managing transaction deadlines.
  • Interact with clients, lenders, title companies, brokers and other parties in connection with commercial real estate and finance transactions.


Targeted candidate will offer a related degree and/or certification and 2+ years of commercial real estate experience. Substantial experience with title work is required. Knowledge of SoftPro is strongly preferred.
