Our client, a Durham-based company that is developing cutting-edge technology in cancer diagnostics, is actively recruiting for a very sharp and capable candidate to join is Supply Chain Team.

This is a 4-6 week temporary assignment that has long-term potential for an excellent candidate.  If you or someone you know would be interested, we would be eager to connect.

Things to Know:

  • The company has developed equipment that, from patient-derived samples, will help oncologists pinpoint the optimal cancer treatment for each patient.  This could be revolutionary for the industry and for cancer patients across the globe.
  • This Supply Chain Technician will handle a wide range of Receiving (some Shipping) functions as well as Buying/Procurement functions.  Seek versatile candidate who brings both skillsets.
  • This is a highly interactive role involving regular interface with colleagues, vendors, etc.. Seek can-do, get-things-done candidate who balances strong Logistics skills with a congenial, “how-can-I-help?” work style.
  • These are FDA-regulated products, some requiring Cold Storage. Ideal candidate will have industry familiarity, but client is open to training diligent, detail- and compliance-oriented candidate who will work with precision and commitment to high quality.
  • The position will require some physical work.  Ability to lift 50lbs will be necessary.
  • This position will be on-site at the company’s Durham area facility. Some schedule flexibility available.

Selected Duties:

  • Receive all shipments. Quickly, efficiently and thoroughly inspect and process them.
  • Ensure all materials are properly stored and documented.
  • Verify that all purchasing and receiving documents align with shipments received, and that any differences are reconciled.  Research as needed.
  • Identify supply challenges that may impact the business and pursue mitigation plans.
  • Procure consumables and other supplies required for daily operations.
  • Build relationships with supplier partners to ensure the continuity of supply.

Targeted candidate will offer a related degree and 2+ years handling similar Logistics work.  Some experience in Purchasing would be preferred.  Ability to lift 50lbs is required.
