Our client, a Raleigh-based medical board that regulates the practice of medicine for the benefit of the citizens of North Carolina, is actively recruiting for a sharp, knowledgeable, and detail-oriented Medical Records Coordinator to join its team temporarily.

The focus of this role will be to support the Quality of Care team. This team conducts investigations to ensure that the care provided has met a professionally recognized standard of health care. This Coordinator will provide case support to the QOC team by performing a wide range of responsibilities.

Things to note:

  • This is a temporary position that is expected to last for 30-60 days
  • The organization is located in Raleigh, and the position will be hybrid (3 days in office/2 days remote). COVID vaccinations are required.
  • This Coordinator will regularly communicate with the Legal Department, Office of Medical Director and Investigations Department. Professional and effective communication, both verbal and written, will be required.

Targeted candidate will offer prior experience working on medical malpractice claims or experience in a civil injury setting such as workers’ compensation, personal injury, or Social Security disability. In addition, prior experience using medical terminology will be essential.

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
