Our client, an emerging RTP biotech that is developing novel therapies for the treatment of several disease states, is actively recruiting for a very bright, capable and versatile candidate to take on a broad range of office support and office management duties.

This diverse, independent and important role will require excellent office support skills (including MS Office/Outlook), superb organizational skills, keen attention to detail and a “pitch in where I can” work style.  Company is prepared to pay generously to attract and retain this high-quality candidate. 

Key Things to Note:

  • This individual will be the office go-to for all administrative and office support matters.  We seek a candidate who enjoys being the “hub.”
  • This Administrator will support executives, managers, scientists and other office staff.  While most employees are self-sufficient in their day-to-day work, many will require occasional support.  The ability to juggle multiple tasks and the flexibility to handle shifting workloads will be important.
  • Responsibilities will include calendaring, document production, meeting planning, travel/expense reports, supplies management, tenant/lease issues, etc., etc. Seek candidate accustomed to similar office management/support duties.
  • This is an emerging biotech setting.  It is fast-paced, dynamic and empowered.  Priorities can shift rapidly, and interruptions can be frequent.  Seek candidate who enjoys the energy of a “start-up” setting and can contribute broadly.

This is a Contract to Hire position and will pay $50s to $60s. It will be on-site at the company’s RTP offices.

The goal is for this Administrator to successfully assume responsibility for all support tasks so that the scientists can focus on their drug development work. Job ownership, resourcefulness and the desire to make a difference will be key.

Requirements include 3+ years of administrative experience, ideally in an emerging/start-up corporate setting.  BA/BS and life science experience are preferred

In addition, we seek a skilled point-person who combines smart organizational skills with advanced MS Office proficiency, great business judgment and a calm, level-headed, solutions-oriented work style.
