Our client, a North Carolina based non-profit, is actively recruiting for a service-minded Operations Specialist.  This is a critical role who will assist the Executive Director and other staff in meeting the objectives and goals of the foundation.  It is a great opportunity to join an organization that continues to grow, with hundreds of volunteers and donors annually, with the mission to make a difference in the community.

Ideal candidates will have excellent organization and customer service skills, as well as the ability to function in a collaborative manner with team members. Candidates should be detail oriented, self-motivated and have excellent writing/proofreading ability.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide support to the organization, including clerical, data entry, and reception duties
  • Proactively and effectively communicate via phone and email with empathy and discretion
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Assist with marketing efforts including social media expansion
  • Organizing thank you messaging to donors and volunteers
  • Assisting with coordination of shipping/receiving of donation orders

While this is a position with strong growth potential, we seek someone who has at least a year of administrative experience in a professional environment.  A bilingual (English/Spanish) speaker is preferred but not required.  This is a part time opportunity offering a 4 day/week work schedule (total of 20 hours) paying $17/hour.  Our client is targeting someone who wants to stay and grow with the organization, and is offering the role as a temp-to-hire opportunity.
