Our client, a national medical association based in the RTP area, is actively recruiting for a highly capable and versatile candidate to assume key role on its Research and Quality Team

This organization has developed a registry for labs and practitioners to upload medical images and patient data. Researchers and physicians request access to the Registry in order to use the data for their research projects.  This Coordinator will be actively involved in managing the Registry and coordinating researchers’ access to it. 

Key Things to Note:

  • The Registry is available across the globe, it has numerous components and is regularly used by practitioners and researchers for research and analysis.
  • This Coordinator will facilitate research projects by providing access, training and guidance for the user community. S/he will be the key liaison for the researchers and we seek a candidate who is a strong communicator.
  • The Registry contains highly sensitive and regulated information.  This Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring research studies and projects follow the proper workflows/protocols.
  • Position will also involve driving special projects that will enhance the functionality and usability of the Registry.
  • This is a remote position that will require occasional visits to the RTP office.  Seek candidates who are local to NC.

This is an important position and we seek a skilled point-person whose superb organizational skills and keen eye for detail and process are complemented with a congenial, “how can I help?” work style.

Specific duties will include:

  • Staff liaison and coordinator of Research & Publications Committee (e.g. minutes and reports, onboarding of new committee members, support of Chair, handling of questions).
  • Assist in the preparation of research grant applications and related activities such as developing proposals, investigating financial support options, or soliciting proposals for funding. Collect and organize required paperwork for submission and/or adjudication processes.
  • Serve as the coordinator for approved research projects including:
    • Planning and coordination of the initiation of research study protocols, and the establishment of study operating policies and procedures.
    • Recruit, instruct, and coordinate research subjects/institutions and/or volunteers, as appropriate to specific study objectives and work scope.
    • Assure researcher and labs sign letters of agreement and other research/legal protocols and maintain these files.
    • Coordinate conference calls and meetings for research stakeholders and project groups.
    • Plan, implement, and maintain data collection and analysis systems in support of research protocols
    • Support dissemination activities related to research efforts

Ideal candidate will offer a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience working with research protocols, ideally in healthcare or academic medical center environment.  Other priorities include:

  • Superb project management skills, including ability to simultaneously juggle numerous projects
  • Strong process improvement mentality
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work with a highly sophisticated clientele.

Finally, we seek a candidate who brings the demonstrated ability to deliver quality results in a high standards, roll-up-your-sleeves, collaborative setting.  

This is a Direct Hire opportunity and an immediate need.  Position will pay to the mid $50s.
