Senior Accountant/Auditor (Financial Services) - $50 - $80/hour (Contract to Start)

Our client, a Raleigh-based financial services organization, is actively recruiting for a very sharp Accountant, with extensive experience with reconciling and/or auditing G/L Accounts, to assist on a long-term project.

This is a contract role expected to last at least 6 months (long-term potential possible).

Key Things to Note:

• The bank recently completed several acquisitions.  They are merging accounts and need to substantiate and/or reconcile all G/L account balances.  This Accountant will be critically involved in that process.  Seek candidate with strong reconciliation skills.  Auditing bkgd would be a plus.
• The client is open to hybrid or on-site candidates. 
• Role will involve reconciling data from various ERP and other supporting systems.  Seek technologically-inclined candidate who is accustomed to working with numerous systems.  Advance Excel is assumed and required.
• This is a highly interactive role.  This Accountant will regularly interface with colleagues, other departments, and potentially vendors or clients to research reconciling items. Seek candidate who enjoys a collaborative role and whose accounting and analytical skills are complemented by superb interpersonal and communication skills.
• This is a fast-paced, high volume and highly professional setting.  Seek candidate who maintains poise and professionalism despite disruption, redirection or pace.

Targeted candidate will offer a Finance or Accounting degree and 3+ years of Accounting and/or Audit experience. Financial Services/Banking experience will be a prioritized. Strong knowledge of GAAP assumed and required.
