Our client, a Durham-based firm that provides a wide range of support, security and training services to the military, other federal agencies and large industrial entities, is actively recruiting for an extremely capable and self-directed candidate to lead its Recruitment efforts.

This is a newly-created position necessitated by company growth. We seek a go-getter who will help develop a Best Practices recruiting function for the organization.

Things to Note:

·         This Sr Recruiter will lead all efforts to recruit employees and/or contractors to staff federal contract engagements. Positions will range from entry level staff to executive level specialists. Many candidates will have military (or related) bkgds. Ideal candidate will bring some experience in this space.

·         We seek a hands-on tactical recruiter who is highly strategic in approach.  This Sr Recruiter will supervise 1-2 junior recruiters. S/he will personally handle the more complex, hard-to-find, high risk roles while guiding others to their success

·         In this competitive recruiting environment, it will be important to be creative and proactive in recruitment. We seek candidates who bring the initiative and ingenuity to identify and build a strong referral network.

·         This is a highly interactive role requiring extensive collaboration with hiring managers, referral partners, etc. We seek an astute communicator who builds productive and high-quality relationships.

·         The company is enhancing its social media presence. Seek social-media savvy candidate who will bring insight and impact in this regard.

·         The client is targeting candidates from the Raleigh-Durham area for regular on-site presence but will consider exceptional “remote” candidates who can be on-site as needed.

Selected Duties:

·         Collaborates with leadership to develop strategic recruiting plans, utilizing creative and cost-effective methods

·         Conducts hiring leader/manager intake sessions to understand position requirements and set expectations.

·         Proactively sources candidates using a variety of search methods including internet resources, company databases, company-provided leads, referrals, and social media to build a robust candidate pipeline

·         Leads the recruiting and interviewing plan for selected open positions and executes the recruitment plan.

·         Establishes and maintains a network of top-level talent, establishing a candidate bench.

·         Facilitates the offer process by extending the offer and negotiating employment terms

·         Develops, builds, and maintains candidate relationships through effective sourcing and selection techniques

·         Represents company at in-person and virtual job fairs and events

·         Stays abreast of recruiting trends and best practices

Targeted candidate will be a US citizen who offer 5+ years of productive full cycle recruiting experience. Experience with military and/or federal contracts would be an important plus.

·         Experience building candidate pipelines through quality partnerships and networking

·         Social media savvy

·         Outstanding communication skills, including ability to “sell” the opportunity to quality candidates

·         Outstanding organizational and project management skills

·         Outstanding work ethic including personal job ownership, reliability, ingenuity and initiative
