Our client, an RTP area pharmaceutical firm in high growth mode, is actively recruiting for a very sharp and capable Revenue Accountant/Analyst, with experience in Gross-to-Net (GtN) analysis to assume key role on its financial management team.

This is complex and critical work. Compensation will be generous

Key Things to Note:

  • Company is expanding rapidly.  It has acquired several new assets and remains active in the acquisition market.  Additionally, the R&D pipeline is rich.  Seek candidate who will thrive in a growing and dynamic environment.
  • This Accountant/Analyst will handle all GtN activities.  This is voluminous and complicated work.  Seek highly analytical candidate who brings familiarity with GtN components (chargebacks, rebates, etc.) and understands the accrual process.
  • Volume is exceptionally high. Seek candidate who will maintain quality despite quantity.
  • The company uses Excel to perform most GtN analyses.  Exceptional Excel fluency is needed.  Ability to contribute to planned automation efforts would be valuable.
  • This is an interactive role that will involve regular interface with the Sales and Customer Service teams.  Seek analyst with a congenial and collaborative style.
    • This is a hybrid position with flexible schedules.

Selected Responsibilities:

  • Reconciling Sales between contracts and ERP systems
  • Monitoring GTN accruals, including chargebacks, rebates, expiry (returns) and other accrual adjustments ensuring that are adequately accrued 
  • Periodic analysis of all GTN components including expiry, rebates and chargebacks at customer and/or product level
  • Tracking wholesaler inventory ensuing alignment with chargebacks submissions
  • Partnering with the Pricing and Contracts team to gain an understanding of the customer agreements to ensure adequate accruals are set
  • Performing roll-forward analysis for all the GTN accruals
  • Verifying pricing aligns with all agreements; Performing price analysis of programs
  • Assisting with forecasting wholesalers and tracking all cash collections
  • Providing support for factoring receivables and accompanying reporting requirements
  • Partnering with Sales teams to ensure reasonable profitability for each product by providing analytics supporting products/sales
  • Contributing to system implementation and automation efforts

Targeted candidate will offer a BS/MS/MBA in Accounting, Finance of other analytical specialization and 2+ years of similar Revenue/GtN work.  Knowledge of contracts, rebates, chargebacks etc. that affect GtN calculation will be important. Pharma would be ideal.
