Placement Options

In working with Frankel Staffing Partners, candidates and employers can expect to receive customized and skillful recruiting services. Headquartered in Raleigh, NC, FSP offers both short- and long-term hiring options for candidates and companies across the Research Triangle area and beyond.  Placement options are briefly described below. 

Direct Hire

With a direct hire arrangement, candidates are recruited by Frankel Staffing Partners and presented to the client for specific positions.  Once selected, the candidate is hired directly by the client company. The client pays FSP an agreed-upon fee for its recruitment efforts.


Temporary-to-hire (or temp-to-hire) associates are recruited by FSP and placed on assignment at the client worksite for a trial period (typically three or six months).  If there is mutual interest at the end of the trial period, the associate could become a regular employee of the client company.

A temp-to-hire arrangement enables both the candidate and the company to assess the feasibility of a long-term fit before a “permanent” decision is made.  During the trial period, the associate is employed and paid by FSP.  The client pays FSP an agreed-upon hourly service rate based on the associate’s pay scale.


With temporary assignments, FSP associates work at our clients’ sites for a limited duration of time, offering special skills and/or extra manpower. The temporary staffing option brings desirable flexibility to a fluid work environment. Typical needs include peak/seasonal coverage, special skill requirements, vacation/leave of absence coverage and project staffing.

Temporary assignments can be of any duration (from half a day to a year or more) and can be for full- or part-time hours.  During a temporary assignment, the associate is employed and paid by FSP.  The client pays FSP an agreed-upon hourly service rate.


Contract assignments are similar to temporary assignments, but tend to be longer in duration (six months to multiple years) and frequently occur in the Technical or Life Sciences fields. Contractors are paid by FSP and can either be W2 employees or independent (1099) contractors. The client pays FSP an agreed-upon hourly service rate.
