Medical Scribe (Part-Time)- Up to $20/hr
Our client, a primary care clinic in Cary, is seeking a medical scribe to join its team. This is a high-volume medical practice seeking a reliable candidate who will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. Equally as important, we seek a candidate who demonstrates strong customer service and compliance skills, has a “can-do” attitude, and willingness to jump in wherever needed. The ideal candidate offers some transcription and/or documentation experience paired with the drive to learn. The flexibility to cross train in other departments as needed and the ability to handle sensitive or confidential information in a professional and discrete manner will be important for this role.
Responsibilities include:
- Entering a patient’s room with the physician to capture and transcribe medical record documentation utilizing electronic medical record applications.
- Updating patient history, physical exam, and other pertinent health information in the patient record.
- Ensuring medical record compliance by providing proof of self-documentation.
- Monitoring the duration of basic lab results and screening procedures.
- Handling various clerical tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry.
Qualifications include:
- 1-2+ years of medical office experience.
- Medical Assistant Degree or Certification, preferred.
- EMR experience (preferably eCW or EPIC).
The role is fully onsite and includes patient interaction. A background check, drug test, negative TB test, and up-to-date Flu and Hepatitis B vaccinations are required.
This is a part-time position with a Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 7:30am-7:00pm schedule. It is located in Cary and will pay up to $20/hr, and while this is an indefinite temporary role, there will be permanent potential for the right candidate.
